BRIE SIMONS
DIRECTOR / CLINICAL LEAD
Brie is the Director of Network Speech Pathology, leading a dedicated team of speech pathologists who provide high-quality care to individuals with communication and swallowing difficulties. With a passion for delivering person-centred services, Brie is committed to ensuring that each client receives individualised support tailored to their unique needs.
Brie is trained in the Parkinson Voice Project SPEAK OUT!® program, offering evidence-based voice therapy for individuals living with Parkinson’s disease and related neurological conditions. She is also trained in the McNeill Dysphagia Therapy Program (MDTP), an intensive, exercise-based swallowing rehabilitation approach designed to strengthen and improve swallowing function.
Brie’s commitment to client education and resource development led her to write and publish the cookbook Simply Modified for adults experiencing dysphagia, further demonstrating her innovative approach to improving quality of life for her clients.
CHANTEL KENDLE
SENIOR SPEECH PATHOLOGIST
Chantel is an accomplished Senior Speech Pathologist who brings extensive experience and exceptional clinical skill to the Network Speech Pathology team. She is known for her calm, practical approach and her ability to support adults with complex communication and swallowing needs across a range of healthcare settings.
As a senior clinician, Chantel provides leadership, mentorship and high-quality care, contributing to a culture of learning, collaboration, and client-centred practice. Her dedication to excellence makes her an invaluable part of the team.
Chantel’s clinical background spans acute medical wards, specialist stroke units, tertiary neuro-rehabilitation, subacute and palliative care settings, as well as voice and stuttering clinics. Chantel's specialist interests include speech, voice, and swallowing, with a focus on enhancing her clients' independence, quality of life, and fostering authentic communication.
RACHEL PERERA
SPEECH PATHOLOGIST
Rachel is a passionate adult generalist clinician with experience across acute care, rehabilitation, aged care, and rural outreach. She is driven by genuine connection, prioritising strong relationships with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver meaningful and functional outcomes. Her commitment to clinical excellence is reflected in her extensive professional development across areas including aphasia, dysphagia, head and neck cancer, stroke care, and tracheostomy management.
With a strengths-based, client-led approach, Rachel supports adults with communication, cognitive-communication, swallowing, voice, and functional literacy needs. She thrives in a telehealth environment, bringing flexibility, compassion, and initiative to her practice. Rachel is deeply committed to her clinical work, demonstrated through winning Early Career Allied Health Professional of the Year across the Hunter New England Health District in 2025.
RIDDHI MITRA
SPEECH PATHOLOGIST
Riddhi is an experienced clinician with a diverse background spanning acute, sub-acute, rehabilitation, outpatient, and rural health settings. She brings years of expertise in adult communication and swallowing care, with a strong commitment to evidence-based and person-centred practice. Her recent work establishing and leading a speech pathology service in a rural Aboriginal community in Broome strengthened her skills in clinical autonomy, cultural responsiveness, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Now based in Perth, Riddhi is passionate about delivering high-quality care with a strong interest in dysphagia assessment and rehabilitation. She is dedicated to supporting adults to achieve meaningful progress and values ongoing learning, teamwork, and improving access to high-quality speech pathology services.
